What are the three services?
Sell the Stuff is the owner sale: someone local sells it and you get paid when it sells. Junk the Stuff is guaranteed haul-away at a quote, with no listing. Move the Stuff carries an item between a buyer and a seller, for example from Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, or Craigslist, when they do not have a vehicle. Either of them can book and pay the transport. They decide between themselves. We never handle the item's payment.
How does Move the Stuff work?
Paste the listing link, the pickup address, and the drop-off address. Add the item type or a photo, and answer access at both ends. You can choose flexible timing. The price is labour at $40 an hour (15 minutes minimum, plus access time at both ends), driving at $0.85 per kilometre from pickup to drop-off, and a 15% platform cut with a $10 minimum. The mover is paid at least $25 for labour and driving. Flexible timing takes 10% off the customer price from the platform cut and does not reduce mover pay. You confirm the item is paid when you book. We email the other person a link to confirm. The mover is dispatched only after both confirm. The saved card is charged when the drop-off is finished. The mover taps Arrived and Done at both ends, with a location check and a condition photo. You can contest the charge from the job.
How does a sale work?
You describe your stuff and pick a seller. They post it where buyers look. The asking price is charged up front. When it sells, your share is paid out after the dispute window.
When can I leave a review?
After the job is paid, the owner can leave one star rating and a short comment. The seller can post one public reply.
How do I get paid?
Finish payout setup. After the sale and the dispute window, your share is transferred to your connected account.
Why do I save a card before a seller is booked?
Nothing is charged for booking or at pickup. Every booking guarantees the stuff is taken away. The card is charged the removal quote when Junk the Stuff is finished, when the seller flags obvious junk with a photo, or when a sale reaches free and nobody wants it. The quote is labour, driving to the nearest disposal site, and the estimated dump cost, plus a 15% platform cut with a $10 minimum. Dump is quoted off-peak. Fridges, freezers, large appliances, electronics, scrap metal, and bikes go to a free drop-off or donation and the dump cost is $0. Flexible timing waits a few days for about 10% off. That discount comes out of the platform cut and does not reduce seller pay. You can contest a junk flag or a wrong-access charge. The platform keeps its cut. The seller is paid at least $25 for labour and driving. Above $25, that pay does not exceed a typical sale of the item. The real dump cost is extra, and only with a weigh-scale receipt. With no receipt, the estimated dump cost is refunded.
What if the seller says it is junk?
They have to attach a photo. You are notified and can contest it from the job, using the same dispute process as a payment problem. If you win, the disposal fee is refunded.
What if something goes wrong?
Open a payment dispute from the job, or contest a junk flag from the same job. The handoff condition checklist is shown there so both sides can see what was agreed.
When does storage start?
The first 7 days after the seller has it are free. The daily storage charge starts on day 8 if it is still unsold and still has a price. Once the scheduled price drops reach free, storage stops.
What if it does not sell?
Stuff Specs asks whether it is likely to sell. Likely junk is Junk the Stuff: hauled away at the quote, with no listing and no price drops. Likely sells, or maybe, is Sell the Stuff. The seller posts a live listing link in the chat within 2 days. If it has not sold, the price drops every 3 days until it is free. If nobody wants it, Junk the Stuff runs at the quote. The seller can upgrade a junk item to a listing at pickup, and you pay nothing unless it fails to sell. Removal pay is at least $25 for labour and driving. Above $25, it does not exceed what a typical sale of that item would earn.
What is a Founding Seller?
The first 50 sellers to sign up pay no platform fee on their jobs for 3 months from sign-up. Their profile and seller lists show a Founding Seller badge. After that, the usual platform fee applies.
How do referrals work?
Share your link. You earn 20% of the app fee on the first 10 paid jobs of someone you refer.
