This policy describes how Sell the Stuff ("we") handles personal information when you use www.SelltheStuff.com and related services (the "Site"). Sell the Stuff is a business name registered in British Columbia by The Man Fork Inc., 104-1070 Nelson Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 1H8. When this policy refers to "Sell the Stuff", "we" or "us", they mean The Man Fork Inc. Our address is 104-1070 Nelson Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 1H8, Canada.

Information we collect

Account details you submit: name, email, phone, address, password (stored only as a hash), and the role you choose (Owner and/or Seller).
Marketplace content: listings, photos, messages, job and payment records, dispute notes, reviews, and, when a Seller taps Arrived or Done, a location check against the pickup address. On Move the Stuff that check is made at the pickup and at the drop-off, with a condition photo at each end.
Move the Stuff: the listing link, pickup and drop-off addresses, item type and photo, access answers at both ends, the other person's email, and each person's confirmation that the item is paid. We use that email to send the confirmation link. We do not collect the item's price.
Referral data: your referral code and, if you use someone else's code, the fact that your account was bound to that referrer.
Terms and Privacy acceptance: the version of the Terms and the version of this Privacy Policy you accepted, the time you accepted them, and the IP address and user agent of that request when the server can see them.
Session and security data: a session cookie, email-verification and password-reset tokens (stored as hashes), and basic rate-limit counters.
Payment references the product stores, such as a card brand and last four digits, or a payment-provider id. Full card numbers are not stored by this application when Stripe is used.

How we use it

We use this information to create and protect accounts, operate listings and jobs, show users the records that belong to them, remember that you accepted the current Terms and Privacy Policy, and send operational email such as verification and password reset. We text transactional messages about a booking, including an item-paid confirmation and a notice before a price drop, only to a phone number you gave us for that booking or for your account, and each text says reply STOP to opt out. When you are an Owner, a saved card is used for the Junk the Stuff quote described in the Terms: when Junk the Stuff is finished, when the goods are flagged as junk, or when unsold goods are taken away. A junk flag or an access correction includes a photo, and a dump reimbursement includes a weigh-scale receipt photo. On Move the Stuff the saved card is charged when the drop-off is finished. That charge is for transport only.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Sharing

Other users see the profile, listing, and message information the product shows them so they can complete a handoff or a sale. Service providers who host the database, the website, or email may process information on our instructions. When card payments are turned on, Stripe processes card charges, refunds, and connected-account payouts as our payment processor, including payment and account identifiers we send them. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the Site, users, or the public from harm.

Retention and security

We keep account and marketplace records while your account is open and as needed for operations, disputes, and legal obligations. Passwords and session tokens are stored as hashes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You may update the profile details the Site lets you edit, and you may stop using the Site. To request access to, a correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email hello@sellthestuff.com. We handle those requests under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and, where it applies, British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. We may keep information we still need for an open dispute, a legal obligation, or the security of the Site.
